As much as we love your progeny, we ask that you leave your little ones at home.
We understand that due to the location, this may bring about logistical difficulties so please get in contact and we can discuss possible solutions.
ACCOMMODATION
The Lake District is STUNNING in July and we strongly you advise you take advantage of the beautiful location and weather and aim to arrive on Friday night to eliminate any chance of the UK rail network getting between you and our special day! The journey on Saturday morning from the South will be too tight.
We’ve blocked out all the rooms for Friday and Saturday nights at the below B&Bs. Please quote ‘Pepper’ when booking so they know you’re part of our booking. If on the phone they say they’re fully booked just remind them that Chris & Crystal have block booked the rooms and you’re calling as one of their guests. These will be first come first serve - so get in quick!
Punchbowl Inn - 2 minute walk from the venue, basic B&B accommodation. 5 rooms. 01931 712443.

George & Dragon - 5 minute taxi ride, but quite a bit nicer. Askham Hall’s sister establishment. 11 rooms. 01768 865381.

Travel
By Car
4-5 hour drive from London.
By Train
There is a super fast 3 hour train from London Euston to Penrith which has the added benefit of being able to have a couple of G&Ts on the train. The venue is a short taxi ride away from Penrith.
Here’s a handy Trainline link for the trains we think you should book. Cheaper Advance fairs usually go on sale 12 weeks before travel (i.e. on or after 26th April 2019).
LOCAL TAXIs
If you’re staying at the George and Dragon (or anywhere that’s a drive away from Askham Hall) we suggest you pre-book your taxi to and from the venue in advance. This is also a good idea because the phone signal at Askham Hall is sketchy AF and we don’t want you to be stranded at the end of the night.
